Life is chaos. Chaos is life.
The good news is, I'm way too busy for food. Life really hits you hard sometimes, and the stress of the situation takes hold of you, and alters your reality.
I didn't work out today, but I spent half the day busting my ass, packing boxes, lifting, pushing, packing, you name it. I broke a sweat multiple times, so that does count as a workout of some type.
I'm physically drained. I'm starting to feel weak, both physically and mentally, if I'm being honest. The last two days, the gym has dropped drastically on my priority list. I've got two finals on Friday that frankly, are really getting me down. The house is all-consuming, and even though I hide stress well, and the people in my life who are closest to me may not see it, I feel the weight of it on me. Just because I'm not throwing rocks at little children doesn't mean that I don't feel like the world is closing in.
How does this pertain to my health goals?
If it wasn't for this blog, this would be where I fell off the wagon. The cravings have returned these last few days, but I've fought them off. I actually went to Taco Bell tonight, which is the weakness upon weaknesses, but I got a chicken burrito, no cheese (and no tomato, but that's just because tomatoes taste like eyeballs). It was dry, so it was relatively good. It wasn't the best meal I could have, but it was the best I could do at the time.
So, as I said, this is where I would fall off the wagon. I'm just worn out. I'm not up for it. I'd much rather be on the couch sleeping, or in a little padded room pounding my head against the walls than work out, pack boxes, or even eat.
So here I am. Posting a blog. Not sure why, as it's pretty much me just whining, but I've committed myself to this thing, and for you guys who read this, reply, respond and give me strength, you're why I'm still doing this.
If you're the type to do it, pray for me this weekend. Others may roll their eyes, but if I can get through Thursday and Friday in one piece, and get the keys to my house and start that process, I think I may be able to keep this up.
And if you're NOT the type, just keep getting on my ass, and reminding myself why I'm putting my personal life into a blog for everyone to see.
Catch ya'll tomorrow.

Good luck on everything this weekend!!! yes it will be stressful, and I don't envy you at all!
All WILL go as planned....just take it one moment at a time!!!
Ok...how about this? I'll get on your ass about not giving up AND I'll pray for you! We'll hit this desire to give up with a double whammy!
Yes, you are whining. Everyone is entitled to whine now and then. I was whining quite a bit a couple nights ago when stress was getting to me. Now I'll tell ya what I had to tell myself to move forward...GET OVER IT! Get going...and don't even THINK about falling off the wagon, giving in to cravings...whatever you want to call it. Because if you do, I'll be at the front of the line waiting to kick your ass!
There...now that I've gotten lectured or yelled at you or whatever you want to call it, I'm going to go get to my morning (late morning, but whatever) devotions, and rest assured you are already on my list of people I keep in prayer! Take care, hang in there, and DON'T QUIT!!!!
Nancy
Enjoy your move....its not like its something you do everyday.
Go ahead and eat!! Just make wise choices. You just have to be a little creative.
With all the chores you have right now, you need the energy. Remember...garbage in...garbage out.
Good food is fuel...bad food is detrimental to your goals and well being.
You're number one in everything you do. Don't accept anything but the best for you and your family. Remember, YOUR boys are going to need a coach, and a mentor who can keep up with them.
Your doing great!
Keep up the good work!
alright, home boy, how is crunch time. this is when the whole healthy lifestyle thing gets real. its hard to keep up with being healthy when life hits hard, but this is when it counts the most. try to make it fun, think about lifting, unpacking, etc as your exercise...start counting your squats when you lift boxes, furniture etc...you better be using your legs and not your back! if nothing else, know you will be getting plenty of activity and let that be that. your taco bell eating choice was excellent, when all else fails, just ask for fiesta style. i included a list of decent fast food choices when i emailed you. this may be the time to consider one cheat meal, just one to take the edge off. don't be guilt ridden, and don't feel like one meal blows it. remember, we are the accumulation of our actions, all of them, not just one. some may wonder why the trainer is suggesting a "cheat", but trust me i've seen it help people time and time again stick to the long term. stay active, stay eating healthy and you will be fine. i know some guilt comes from not going to the gym, but trust me, stay on your eating, and if you can't get to the gym, we'll pick it up when you can. remember your home work, and get to the gym when you can. no more whining, know this is something that has to happen, will happen, and make it happen. do work.
LOTS of good advice here. I completely agree with Nancy's remark regarding thinking about falling off the wagon. Don't dwell on it. Don't focus on how drained you are or on the stress (easier said than done, I know). Remember how good you felt after your workouts and how proud of yourself you've gotta be for going this long and losing a considerable amount of weight.
What helps me is to think of this as a lifestyle instead of an added stress in my life. Just like you need to eat and drink, you need to exercise.
What also helps is to realize this is as hard as it's going to be. It only gets easier from here.
Hang in there. Don't give up!
Hey Tuck...
Sorry I haven't left any comments lately but as you know finals week is a blast! I was thinking about this blog and it reminded me of when I was coaching. There were just those days when my kids looked at me like they wanted to die (or kill me)...school work, jobs, famlies, outside activities, and a coach who was determined to win a state championship. And on those days I knew they would have rather been home sleeping. Those were the days that tested them the most. In the end it made them stronger and especially in the mental sense. The same will happen for you. This is a test and I know you will pass it and keep on your path to success. I hope my story somewhat made some sense to you.
And for exercise you can yell at the TV on Sunday cos I will be kicking your butt in fantsay!
Did you tell your trainer you have a cute lil friend name Nikki? LOL
See you for the big move and keep up the awesome work!

Don't give up, man. I know moving is a pain, especially with all the other zillion things life throws at you. It took me 3 weeks to move out of my old place, going 3-5 times a week and it just seemed like it was a never ending stream of junk to move, and it seemed like you get some exercise out of it, but that's when the complacency starts.
Life is always busy, and if you start with a few little excuses, eventually over time they build up and you start giving in on more and more things, because 'its just a little more'. For example, after all the stress and work, you may be saying to yourself 'i'm exhausted and fast food is just on the next corner'. Keep your focus, and try and get to the gym.
