Beware of Potholes

Weigh In: 272.4

Yes, that's five pounds down from yesterday. That tells me two things.

One, it paid off that I ate the way I did yesterday. I'm headed in the right direction.

Two, my body is obviously fluctuating, and let's not get TOO excited.

Just wanted to make a quick post here today. I planned my meals out perfectly, had a good workout this morning, and I headed out to do my student teaching. We brought in a teacher from a different school to have him help listen to the bands, and after rehearsal (lunch time), my lead teacher looks at both of us and says, "lets do lunch, my treat".

So instead of having my turkey chili, I had a julienne salad from this hole in the wall joint. I found the MOST healthy option on the menu, and chose it.

The pothole to avoid is now that I'm at work, I already had lunch, and now I have my prepared lunch sitting there in the car. I'm reminding myself that just because I had lunch unexpectedly, I don't get to have the turkey chili "in addition", since it's just there. In the past, I would have had the chili in the car on the way to work - but I did good to avoid that. I am still having my planned snacks (bananas, almonds), but the chili will live for another day.

I know I'm going to struggle with this for a while, but I did it once, and I can do it again. I have to get this to become the second-nature that working out has become. That will only happen after plenty of repetition. So far, so good.

So far, so good Tuck. I know how hard this can be, but you're moving forward nicely. It's probably best to just put your lunch in the car and leave it there. The trunk would be the best place, so that you're not tempted to eat it on the way home

Good job so far on not eating that extra lunch, that's a good small battle won Rob. Keep up the good work, I agree with Jim, put that chili in the trunk so you aren't as tempted on the way home.

If we go OUT to eat, we just need to go somewhere I can eat smart at - Applebees is good if we want to go there. Otherwise, we can cook before game, depending on Amy/Dan's plans?
