Stagnant

My schedule's been incredibly crazy lately, so it's been more of a "hold onto the ground you've gained" situation. I keep thinking in the back of my head that I leave the office job and will be running marching band camps and will be on my feet 16 hours a day starting after next week (the last day at the office is the 22nd), so that maybe the weight loss will kick back in.

I've been doing ok, but because my schedule (and honestly, I've been lazy when I actually DO get to rest) I haven't been in the gym much. Maybe 3 times a week? I guess that's good for some, but for me, that's like almost nothing. I'll get back into gear here.

Not much to say today except for that I'm doing "ok" - I could be driving hard, but I could be falling off the wagon, and neither is happening. I wish I didn't keep having an excuse each time for not pushing hard, but having the whole job turnover thing in a week, it's kind of been my focus while everything else has taken a back seat. Neutral isn't 5th gear, but it's not reverse either. I'm hanging in there.

Where's your weigh-in then?

The weight loss isn't gonna "maybe" kick in. There's only one way it's gonna kick in and you know what that is.

How's the eating? You've been on the sidelines for a while now and I'm starting to worry. Look at Kevin's latest post about what happened when he went on a "break".

Don't become another statistic Tuck. Find your motivation.

Billy said it straight up, and I agree, Rob. You can do this - make the smart, little decisions and you can't not drop those pounds.

But, on another subject, are you a band teacher? My sis is one - and she's already complaining about hot, nasty marching rehearsals.

Its just so apparent that your still on a hiatus or break. Either way keep maintaining until your ready to come back full speed ahead captain Tuck

Is that weight loss ticker right? You've lost nearly 100lbs? I don't imagine that it happened by itself. I'm guessing that it took a lot of hard work, dedication, and time. Congratualtions on coming as far as you have, it's incredible.

I think you should take this down time to re-evaluate your goals and find your motivation again. What's your next goal?

I understand (to a point) your crazy schedule and not necessarily wanting to hit the gym on your down time.

What if instead of feeling obligated to go to the gym, you and Erin go for a walk? Or set up basketball time with some friends. Maybe you're not in the gym, but you're staying active. That way, it doesn't come across as a chore.

You can do this, man!

HI Rob -

Everyone here has said it much better than I can - you've come much too far to start going backwards now. I know you have alot going on now but exercise and watching what you eat just needs to become a natural part of your everyday life.

My weigh in today on our challenge was 232 - so I am down 4 pounds cumulative or 1.7% of my beginning weight. Where do you stand?
