Another Day

Weigh In: 272.0

Another short blog tonight, I've been at a loss for words. Nothing really big happening - the same work and school schedule. I didn't get a chance to work out this morning because I gave blood yesterday and was told not to work out for 24 hours, so I didn't.

I'll be back at it in the AM - the weigh in was a bit weird because I usually weigh in AFTER working out, and today I didn't do that so it "could have been" lower. Not too concerned, it is what it is, and it's coming down steadily.

Other than that, not much to report. In the gym in the AM, then school/work, and then volleyball. We made the weekly turkey chili tonight, so I"ll be having that the rest of the week. Erin thinks that it's weird that I can have the same thing for lunch 5 days a week, 3 weeks in a row, but I love this turkey chili. It fills me up, it's SUPER healthy, and it's working. Why fix it if it ain't broke?

Here's to another day.

Hey Rob,
Been reading your blog now since August. I don't watch any reality TV. . . just read your blog. Anyway, I have been struggling like you for the last couple months and your blog helps get me motivated. Anyway, the only reason I am stepping out of the shadows to add a comment is that you keep mentioning this turkey chili but I have not found the recipe for it on your blog through the search feature. Care to post the recipe? I've googled turkey chili but all the recipes I find either look really bland or too calorie dense for my taste so I am interested in what you do.

Keep up the good work and sood the 270's will be history!

Rob,

I do the same thing almost every morning with a PB&J sandwich. It's filling, I love it and it works.

Keep up the good work!

Your turkey chili is like my power oatmeal'n'berries in the morning. I actually crave eating it....it is weird.

Your turkey chili sounds a lot like my tuna sandwiches Tuck. It works for me so I don't mess with it. It's weird too, because I'll be mallwalking thinking about how badly I want my freaking tuna, but hey, you don't mess with perfection.

Rob where you at? I am waiting for that turkey chili recipe too. if your not blogging are you not eating right or working out? or are you just busy. Either way let us know whats up. could there be a 26# number?

If you look on BrotherJay's blog he has a recipe for turkey chili on his blog. I believe if you look at his blog history it is labeled "a better turkey chili" or something along those lines.

Sorry - I'm just really busy. I haven't forgotten about that chili recipe. I don't have it in front of me but it's a pound of ground turkey, a can of kidney beans, a can of stewed tomatoes, chicken stock, chipoltes if you like it spicy. I'll try to get the actual recipe together soon though - sorry!

And nope, no 260's yet. Trying hard though, body doesn't seem to agree with me.

I have been eating chili for lunch pretty much every day for like a month. It's probably not as healthy as yours, but I love it too, so tell Erin you're not the only weird one.

Just wondering why you weigh in after your workout instead of before...
