Graphic Graphs

Calories Counted: 2192
Weigh In: 288.4
Consecutive Blog Days: 3

A few quick things - Tom (father in law) has challenged me to a 'most % of body weight lost by Labor Day' challenge - the loser has to cook a healthy dinner for the entire family. I like that challenge - and I kind of feel bad for him - he's got no chance to win ;)

Second off - I'm flat out exhausted after another good workout, 13 hours of work, and I'm ready to go to bed. If it wasn't for this blog I would have totally skipped the whole internet thing tonight, but I made the commitment, so here it is.

So, here's my food from today. Pretty damned identical, except we baked salmon tonight.

Here's something that really, really bummed me out - but put this whole thing into a perspective. First off, of COURSE Kevin and I are lock step in everything we do - including suffering right now. I just started plugging my weights back into Calorie-count.com again, and when I did my weight graph, this is what I saw:

If you click on it, you can see the entire thing with more detail. Basically, I lost over 14 months of hard work by being a complete loser the past 4 months. Take a look at that graph - the last time I was 291 pounds was May of 07. Honestly, that pisses me off. Why work at things? Why spend time sacrificing, if you're just going to be a complete dick and not finish what you started?

So yeah - I feel like a total failure right now in the weight loss department.

The good news is - I have to take the advice I've given others a hundred time - "the only loser is the one who quits".

I haven't quit. I'm back on my feet. I'll lose this weight, if it kills me.

Ok, so that's probably not the best analogy to use, but you know what I mean.

Off to bed - more tomorrow.

It's behind us now. Let's just get it WAY behind us, and get back to where we were...and then go further.

Yeah, not good when your weight loss graph looks like a ski ramp. What are the blue and green lines?

Right now, you just gotta play your ball where it lies. Only way to go is down from here.

Blue is the daily weigh in - the green is the 'trend'. Not a good trend, but it won't be like that long.

So far, another good day. I'll report calories and such later tonight with an actual blog, but I saw 287.4 today. That's far from good, but it's in the right direction.

Looks like you are doing a good job so far. That calorie counter graph is pretty sweet too!

No more 290's ever again right Rob?

Hey Rob I cant see your total calories, but it really doesnt look like you are eating enough for you size. I am currently sitting at 211 and eating a fair amount more I would say (still loosing weight). You got eat enough to drive the muscle and weight loss. If your eating less than 2k I would up it a little. That's just me though. A couple weeks back I hit a plateau where my weight loss really slowed. Some people on another forum recommended I add another carb and protein (approx 300 cals) and it totally jump started my weight loss again. Your diet is probably good for someone who is sedentary (loosing mainly by diet no exercise). Anyway man just a observation. Keep the good days rolling, I am lov-n it!

Thanks, guys. Rip - I can't figure out how to 'un-stretch' it so the calories show at the bottom of the form, but I put it right at the very top of each entry. It was something like 2100 calories yesterday.

I'm trying to keep myself around 2000-2300 cals a day, but honestly, if I go less once in a while, like 1700-1800, it won't break my heart. I'm a long way in this 2nd version of the journey from worrying about my metabolism slowing down due to a lack of food. I could go a few days without any food, if you ask me.

cool man... if your weight loss slows though you might consider adding some food.
