Avoidance

Just wanted to get a quickie in. Had a ton of potholes in the road tonight, and I can say that the car came out undamaged.

First, the "healthy" meal that I talked about in the last blog. I stuck to my guns, and ate my own meal. I DID go over and grab some broccoli and pineapple, but I left the healthy chocolate bars alone.

Then, we went to dinner. Had Taco Bell - 4 hard shelled tacos for a total of 600 calories. After my menu today (coming up) I stayed around 2000 calories, so I don't have a problem with it. After this, we went to the Pistons game. I usually get something to eat and a beer - I chose the best alternative for both the wallet and the body. I skipped it completely. THEN - ended up at a party that my sister-in-law was hosting. There was a ton of snacks, brownies, cheese/crackers, tons of liquors and beers. Me? I had a Diet Coke.

So I'm home, and I feel like I did what I could. Now comes the true test - the weekend.

  3. Sounds like everything went pretty well. Good job, you're a better man than me. If I'm at a sporting event, I have to have at least one beer, so great job on that. Also on the party, that's a pretty nice spread that you turned down, great job. Have a great weekend, and Go Pistons!
