Happy Easter

Weigh In: NONE

Ok, today was pretty much a wash, I'll be honest about it. I ate like crap. It wasn't a matter of eating the 'wrong' things, but it was eating WAY too much of the stuff that is ok. I did stray, but I didn't really fall OFF the wagon, although my feet were a-danglin'.

So, I chalk today up as one of those days. Little irritated about it, but it's a holiday and my willpower wasn't as strong as I would have liked it.

The good news is, I'm in the gym at 7am with Gary, my cousin. He asked me tonight about joining the Coalition, so he will be joining soon. I'll be helping him create a page, and you're going to get a kick out of him.

I'm going to cut this short, but here's my bottom line:

I don't feel good about my weigh-in tomorrow. Tomorrow's the day where I change the blog name, and frankly, I haven't earned it the past few days. There's not a single reason why the number should go down tomorrow morning.

Just more motivation to work my ass off tomorrow in the gym. I'll report in when I get my numbers in. Until then, hope ya'll had a great holiday weekend!

The way I figure, holidays happen. They aren't that often, and if you just do your best to be reasonable, and contain the damage to the actual holiday itself (rather than from mid-October to January 1, for instance), you'll be fine. I had like 6 deviled eggs, 4 keilbasa's, a piece of ham, and a giant king crab leg. Oh well, I just didn't eat but a handful of nuts the rest of the day ;)

Yeah, for better or for worse, I see holidays as days where slacking off a little is OK. A LITTLE. If we're doing everything else right, one day won't have much of an effect on us. In fact, I'd argue that we NEED days like that sometimes.

Let us know how the weigh-in goes.

Yep, like they said, Rob....holidays happen! It's never good to make excuses, but don't beat yourself up too much...and like Billy siad, as long as you keep the holiday "slacking" to JUST the holiday! You and I talked about the "mommy" downfall like eating off the kids' plates, picking at the leftovers...imagine my frustration when three weeks from now, there's still a stray cadbury egg, or a basket (or three in my case) with stray jellybeans, m&m's and marshmallow peeps! All that on top of leftover ham, party potatos and deviled eggs! YIKES!

Ok...sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a pity party for me....
just hang in there, let go of yesterday, and refocus on today and the future.

Also, there's an Autism walk coming up I want to do in Jacob's honor....interested?
