So Close I Can Taste It
Weigh In: 304 (lowest yet!)
Workout: 45 minutes today, 1080 for April
First things first, you'll notice the weight has dropped 2 pounds to 304, the lowest weight so far on this journey. I'm getting closer to my 300, but the clock is ticking too - so as much as I want to be happy about this, it just pushes me a bit harder. I've noticed that I eat around 1900-2100 calories and hover, and then every few days I do ONE day of about 1500, and I get that weight drop. I don't know if it's luck or actually working, but I'll take the 2 pound drop any day.
I'm going to cut this one short, because I'm about 6 1/2 hours away from being in the gym for my next Step Aerobics class, so I'm hoping to get a few hours of sleep in.
Bottom line is, I've got 12 days to drop 5 pounds. I have to keep telling myself that it's not a big deal if I don't hit the goal when I want to, and that the important thing is that I eventually hit it, but I'd really, really like to be under 300 for my wedding anniversary.
So, 12 days of hard work and eating right it is.

You're doing great! Here's hoping you reach that goal. That would be awesome!
Tuck,
I get the whole anniversary thing bro, but you're gonna get there. If you don't get there before your anniversary, then you don't. Bottom line, Tuck: Be like a shoe, and just do it.
Just look at this way Tuck-Jim told you he'd start working out and eating right once you get down to "his" weight, and you're almost THERE.
Better start giving him info on getting healthy Tuck!!! :)
I agree with Jim. It's not so much WHEN you hit your goal, but that you do.
Even I (who sees you everyday!) can tell a difference in your body now.
I am very proud of you for sticking with this for so long. Do you feel like you are "on a diet" now still?
I don't think I ever felt like I was on a 'diet', I think that's what has helped me down the path. Just eating smarter.
Of course, having those chocolates last night was dumb - paid for that one on the scale today. Ugh.
Btw, Jim.. what IS your weight? How many pounds before I get you losing?
It's nice to have an aggressive goal like that because it pushes you to not slack off at all. Whether or not you hit it, you will have done your best.
Agreed. Time means nothing. Just go get it done.
