Aerobics on a Somber Day

Virginia Tech - Never Forget
-----------------------------------

Weigh In: 306

Workout: 105 minutes today
(45 aerobic, 45 volleyball tonight, 15 bike ride),
1035 for April

It's 7:34am, and I'm back from the Step Aerobics class.

I made it through.

Barely.

It was probably the most intense 45 minutes I've ever spent on cardio, if not counting the boxing/sprinting I've done with Josh. The only difference is, when Josh is working me out, the male ego is on the line versus ANOTHER male. This time, it was me and Gary versus a bunch of women and old men.

For those of you who have never done step aerobics and want to get your heart rate up, finish up this blog (and make a comment *grin*), and then head to your local gym and see what it's all about. It's one of those things where you leave thinking "oh my god.. I can't do another minute of walking".. but then you get out of the shower and you're looking forward to doing it again.

Tomorrow's weight-lifting day, and then I think we're going to do another class on Thursday, and I'm making a big push for the end of this week. Not that I'm expecting it, but I'd SURE like to see another 5 pound drop out of nowhere this week - I've been sitting on the 306 mark (give or take) for the last six days..

Oh, and for anyone near Virginia Tech or affected by the shootings there yesterday, my prayers are with you. I don't want to get political in a weight loss blog, but my thoughts are in Virginia and with the families down there today.

That must have been quite a sight -you and Gary in a Step Aerobics class with a bunch of women... I think I wouldv'e paid to see that one! LOL!

Sounds like it kicked your butt though - I always thought it didn't look like that hard of a workout but I guess I'm wrong.

Hard is putting it mildly...I've done it before, and you're right Rob, you leaving thinking your legs aren't going to be able to carry you one more step...but after the initial shock to the body, it's a great feeling, isn't it! Geez...reading this makes me wanna pull out the old Tae Bo DVD and get moving again finally! Think I'll go do that...I could use something to work off some stress and clear my head. Thanks for the motivation! And props to you for getting in there among the women and old men! hehe!!!

Prayers definately going out to all those touched by the tragedy yesterday...what a sad world we live in.

Good job on your work-out.

Yep, scary what my children will face when they grow up (they are all 8 and younger at this point).

walking was the easy part. It was getting up of the bench to try to take a shower. that was the hard part. Aerobics is a lot like dancing and I cant't do that sober either:). See ya in the morining
