Keeping Pace

Weigh In: 284.5
Five Day Average: 284.1 (lame)

Ok, so I'm not sure what the picture is all about, but I googled "Walk", and that's what I got. It cracked me up, so I went with it.

Well, I did the 12 miles today, and it went pretty well. My buddy who was walking with me told me that he was impressed that I could just go out and knock out 12 miles without any 'walking' training. Now, I've done my workouts, I've run my 30-60 minutes, but doing that and walking from 7:15am to 11:30am non-stop, those are different beasts right there.

I'll be interested to see what my weigh in looks like in the morning. I know what I'm doing already, and I'll predict it now. I'm expecting a lower number because I feel I've 'earned' it. I did this long ass walk, I ate pretty solid today, and now I feel like my body 'owes me one'.

I know better, yet I can't get that thought to creep out of my body.

So, maybe I'll be down tomorrow. Maybe I won't be though. Can't set myself up for failure, right?

3 days until the next "Tuck's Big Challenge" weigh-in, and I've been higher all week than when last week ended. That's got to change.

That's cool, how did 12 miles feel? I don't think I've ever walked that far...

Yeah, I did the Walk for Hunger, which is a 20 mile walk, a couple of years ago. In spite of my regular exercise, walking 20 miles was a different experience. It's not easy, so hats off to you for your 12 mile walk. Have you ever noticed whether or not your weight goes up/down on certain days of the week? Just curious.

Kudos on your walk! Im impressed with you to...I know some 3 day walkers that still have trouble with 12 milers ;)

I hear from runners all the time how different long distance walking vs running is. Never being a runner, I always wondered if its true.

I don't think I have ever walked that far before either. Most people think to them self walkings easy... but then when I spend 4 hours just on my feet walking around or doing something my feet always start to throb and ache. So I cant imagine 5 hours strait of walking. I used to back pack camp some when I was younger and a 8-9 mile day was super long for me and I was proably 50lbs lighter then. Congrats man, makes me want to walk.

Do me a favor and send or post a full-version of the before pic (is that the best one you have?) also, if you want to use a different current pic, send that and I'll incorporate it.
