And Three Is A Streak

Yesterday's Weigh In: 276.0
Today's Weigh In: 273.5

Five Day Average: 275.75

Another good day for me.

As I mentioned in the past, I've started to realize that it's not about "doing pretty good most of the time" when you're trying to successfully lose weight. I lost sight of the fact that the blunt honest truth is that you have to sacrifice when you don't feel like sacrificing. It's not just about planning a good healthy menu for your day if you're going to stray from it. It makes no sense to have these great ideas for workouts if you don't do them.

So I hit the gym hard yesterday, went to school and work, ate perfect, came home and had a healthy dinner. I had a pork chop in EVOO and a greens salad and skipped the mac/cheese light pasta stuff. Sure, it was 'a healthier' version - and that would be great when I get to my goal weight and am maintaining, but it's NOT 100% - and that's what I have to do.

I almost feel like I get energized - in a stubborn way. It's like I tell myself "no, you will NOT", instead of "c'mon Rob, you can do it.". Does that make sense?

So I'm rewarded with a good scale drop today. In the past, that would be 'good enough' and I would reward myself.

Not this month.

You all are so screwed in this monthly challenge ;)

Rob you are on fire. The mentality you have right now is right where it needs to be. I cant wait to see where you are at the end of the month.

it's so crazy that sometimes you just "have it" and sometimes you don't. Glad you have it now. Hold on to it.

Yeah, I'm not sure why that happens, but I'm starting to think it's got to do with the slippery slope of "just a little bit". It seems like when I do well, I let up a little bit because of the success.

I need to be more stubborn, and not give myself ANYTHING, at least for a while. Every day has to be as good as the one before it, or the drive fades. Sucks that I don't know moderation yet - but in order to beat it, I have to identify it.

You're heading in the right direction now Tuck. Keep it up! I was starting to think that I'd hit 110 pounds lost before you would, but maybe not.

Woot! Good job!

I am screwed. I posted my lowest weight ever today (why couldn't you have started this challenge last week, when I was still 150?!)!
