Just dropping a note to say that I'm still alive. These last few days (ironically since my last post) have been insanely busy - parties, helping Erin at school, christmas shopping, you name it. Unfortunately, it's been the perfect storm.
I haven't been to the gym in 3 days - which really sucks. Not an issue of wanting to go, but an issue of not having an hour from the minute I wake up until late night to get there. Sucks, too - because the eating has been "OK" - but definitely not great. Add to that, I had a great time last night with Erin's co-workers at a christmas party where I drank more last night than in the last 6 months combined, and the weight is way too high today. I'm not even going to bother recording it, because I'm holding more water than an Olympic sized pool right now. I'm irritated at the weigh in, but I know the gallon of beer didn't help matters.
The bottom line is, I'm drinking a ton of water today, eating better today, and I have my family's HUGE christmas party tonight in the hall. Starts at 6pm. Just got home, about 9am we went to go pick up Erin's great-aunt Mary (an 88 year old nun) from Kalamazoo, and just walked in the door.
I need to get into the gym somehow, and soon. I can't go this long without my workouts. I need to really reel it in tonight at the party. I need to have water instead of beer tonight - I don't like it, but that's how it's got to be.
I feel pretty rushed and hectic. I kind of planned on this at the beginning of the month - I knew I'd be in for it right now, but it's time to dig in the heels and right the ship. Just needed to check in with you guys, hopefully I'll get to all of your blogs tomorrow!

Damn, Tuck. I've been there, though. Keep smiling, and gut it out, and you'll be alright.
2 things:
1. I know you're busy, but you gotta make time for workouts, no exceptions
and
2. When you have a weigh-in that you don't like, you need to record it and post it just like the others. You aren't allowed to sweep it under the rug because it's "water weight" or whatever. That's what the average is for.
Aside from that, have a great holiday!
