Weigh In: 269.0
Five Day Average: 268.31
Ok, so the weight went up a bit today, but I'm not going to sweat it. First off, seeing 2 pounds fall off in a day (from 268 to 266) wasn't going to stick, so seeing it go up is no sweat. Secondly, I weighed in WAY early this morning, I had to get out of the house super early, like 5:30am early today to get to the gym and get to my final exam by 8am downtown this morning. So, not worried about the 269.
I titled this blog, "Now - The Hard Part" because this next week is going to test my loyalty to myself. My self control in an unfamiliar environment. I took my last final exam today, and starting tomorrow until the new year, I have no work and no school, as I took my last week and a half of vacation time from work.
I have no schedule.
Which sounds great - and it is - but that means no 'scheduled' lunch time. It means way too much down time where sneaking into the fridge would kill the diet. It means that I really - REALLY have to be adamant about what I eat, and I think more importantly - WHEN I eat it. And we're not even talking about the holiday parties that will be on-going for the next 7 days.
So, it's the hard part. But getting blow 270 was the hard part. Getting back on my feet after losing my footing a few times was the hard part. Getting under 300 was the hard part. Breaking my 21 day plateau of being at 330 was the hard part. Admitting that I needed help and had to start this blog in the first place was the hard part.
The GOOD part is that I've overcome obstacles before, and I'll do it again.

Rob make a plan right now for the next week and a half. More time means you have more time to exercise right? Just remember what you want and all will be fine. Plus now you have a bunch of time to blog and comment on the forums so you better stay accountable :). You are so owning this month, keep the dream alive.
Congrats on getting your average below 270!
If I were you, I would PREPARE some food and bring it with you when necessary. Drastic times call for drastic measures!
hate the damn fluctuations too but I'm glad you're so realistic about it. having no schedule or structure has bitten me in the ass too many times before! I definitely think you should plan judiciously so you won't fall off the wagon. being wrecked by guilt and self-doubt after blowing even one day just plain sucks. I know you can do this, though. It'll test you but plan ahead and you'll pull through like a champ! keep the fire burning...
Rob! Maggie here, from work. I don't have your personal email address so this will have to work. You never let me know if you can make it on Saturday for the free lunch at Lims Chinese (1:00 p.m.). You can bring a guest if you would like. Tamika and a guest will be there, Mariam and Darrell, Mac, etc. Email me at work and let me know either way please, mjasica@dnps.com
awesome on the last final! Was it the last for good, or do you have more semesters to go?
I hear you on the unstructured schedule, but i have a thesis to write over the next three-four weeks so I've got something to keep me occupied. What have you got to keep you occupied? House projects? Hobbies? Those will save your butt.
Woo hoo - vacation! It's funny but I have actually found that I almost crave the structure of my diet after a refeed, even on the weekends when I have a lot more flexibility. If you decide how often to eat (every 2 to 3 hours or something) and keep yourself busy in between you should be fine. You're right, you have overcome other obstacles, this will yield to your Robness too.
With that attitude, you'll be just fine throughout your vacation. Will you slip up every now and then? Maybe. I know I would. As long as you get back up, brush the crumbs off, and keep going. :)
Here comes the hard part, Tuck. But you can get through it. Do what Jimbo told you to do. Put some damn carrot sticks in the fridge. Get some cauliflower or some broccoli for in there, too. Grapes, raisins, apples, etc. Then when you feel like chowing down on a greaseball burger or some Lay's Saturated Fat Chips, shove some nice, low cal, healthy junk in your piehole, and put a smile on your face. You'll be fine.
its maggie again, rob. sorry the lunch has been cancelled. i'll let you know when the new date will be.
enjoy ur break!
