It's hard to believe it's been a week since I've posted. I've wanted to, I've actually sat down and hit the "compose" button a few times - but I've had nothing to say.
Tell me if you've heard this one before:
"I'm busy, hardly have time for anything - been working out a lot, hardly missing a day in the gym. The problem is that my eating has been bad - I eat well most of the day, and then there's always one point where I screw it up. I'm not feeling motivated right now, but I'm going to start RIGHT NOW, and everything is going to be great! Back at it starting NOW!"
Heard that one from me before?
I need to get it to stick. I'm not sure why, but I'm fighting the stagnant lifestyle again. Went to two mother's day parties today and just ate bad. Side dishes, cheeseburgers (yes, plural - one at each), cheese and crackers, cupcakes... just out of control. And I have this thing in my head where there's a mental battle.. the "you're doing so bad you might as well keep eating" - and the "what the HELL are you doing to yourself?!?"
The war isn't over, and I've won a bunch of battles in the past. The past few months - this army is on its heels, backed into a corner.
This week will be a test for me. Do I want it - or am I weak enough to 'settle' for where I am?
Get on me folks - I really need you guys.

Rob, I know this probably won't help, but...
When I start to hear that little voice telling me that I might as well keep going, I think of where that mentality took me before. I don't like that person I used to be very much, and the reminder is usually enough to get me to stop before it gets too far out of control.
You've lost so much weight already. I know you don't want to work that hard to lose it all again.
Kristen is right, you've worked so hard to get where you are! Don't let yourself slip anymore.. you can do it!!!
I've been battling this mentality as well. Difference is, I can afford to a whole lot more than you can right now.
You are NOT FINISHED. Not even close. So get your head out of your ass, and start sacrificing toward your goal.
Billy's right you need to start making sacrifices to get where you want. It does seem like you are settling for where you are, you just need to ask yourself the question:
Do you want to be that fat guy that lost weight but is still fat but not as fat, or the fat guy that lost weight and is now fit?
Another thing, how about you start posting your measurements again and your weights...I haven't seen much of that, that can be a driving force for you too.
Jason, you read my mind. I'll be posting in a little bit with exactly that. I hope ya'll are sitting down.
Rob its time to write a new chapter in your health book. You have been stuck on the same one for a long a$$ time. fix your diet and weight loss will follow. Sounds like you are doing allot of work at the gym so quite wasting your time working out and start eating right. You have got to want it man! What do you want?? maybe think on that again. Then when you decide what you want think about whether or not you really want it. then think about what your willing to give to get it. make a plan and execute... anyway man I feel you and what your going through. I struggle with the same sh%t. like Jason says get back to posting your measurements, weight, food, whatever it takes to hold you accountable.
