Weigh In: 337.0
After last night's workout, I slept like a baby. This morning, for the first time in a long time, I woke up and had this thought:
"I'm skipping the gym this morning".
I just wasn't into it. I had an amazing workout last night around 6pm, and was unbelievably sore all of last night. The 'good' sore, but sore regardless. So, when I went to bed and woke up 12 hours later, my body was still feeling it. Today's "only" a cardio day, I thought, and I debated with myself for an hour before actually deciding to suck it up and hit the gym.
It was a pretty good workout. Did my 30 minutes on the Elyptical Machine, and another 150 stabilizer situps on the big red rubber ball, and I definitely feel good about it this morning. My ankle was starting to cramp up last night again, but when I woke up this morning, that was gone, but now the right wrist is a bit cramped. I'm wondering if I should be more aware of stretching, or what the issue is, because these strange little pains are popping up. Then again, as my wife always says, I'm always complaining about something, so I guess that's par for the course ;)
My weigh-in number today wouldn't balance out exactly today, so I was wavering between 336.75 and 337.00, so I'm going to go with the big number, and call today's weigh-in 337.00.
Another day, another dollar. I'm just glad I was able to fight off the lazy and get to the gym. If it wasn't for the blog, I probably would have skipped it.

Your weigh-in was 337, but what's your new 5-day average? That's the important number.
Good job going to the gym even when you didn't feel like it! It's so easy to give in to the temptation - especially when you've been doing so well. Keep it up. We're watching you. ;)
My last five have been -
338.5
339.5
336.5
336.5
337.0
In two days, the higher numbers will be gone (hopefully), and the average will slide down. As of now, today's weigh-in is just a slight-hair less than the average.
Today's Weigh In: 337
5 Day Average: 337.6
Pretty consistant.
Stretching is good, before you stretch walk about 5 minutes on a treadmill or something like that to get your muscles warmed up. Then stretch.
I would round down, so go with 337!
I agree with beck Rob - good job forcing yourself to the gym and not blowing it off - especially when you were sore from the night before. Nothing wrong with an occasional day off though - I'm sure even Josh the Destroyer would agree with that! Keep up the great work... Tom
P.S. I agree 5 minutes of stretching is a necessity before diving into the workout
It's wierd parts of the body that are starting to wear down though. For example, my right wrist has been bothering me for about 2 days, and I'm not sure how to stretch out the wrist. It may just be a result of too much on the arm one day.
Also, the bottom of the right foot.
Just strange stuff. The good news is, my main worked-out muscles are recovering pretty well, and at a good pace.
Hey big guy, sounds like everything is going good and staying on point. Let me know next time you are hitting the gym, and i'll be there to stretch you if at all possible. I'll stretch you and then show you stretches you should/need to do on your own. Stretching is super, super important and very often neglected, specially by us guys, cause we're tough. Stretching is so important. Keep up the good work!
Impressive. Those thoughts are never going to go away, but how you act on those thoughts will make a world of difference. If you just give yourself that one off day, you'll start justifying more and more. Congrats on the persistence.

Congrats with still going to the gym. Every morning I wake up at 3:30am and think how nice it would be to just sleep, but somehow I make it to the gym. It always feels great once you get there.
Dave, that's pretty awesome. If my workout was due for 3:30am, I don't think I'd be able to do it, honestly.
