A Wise Man Once Said..

.. "when you hit the wall, BREAK THROUGH IT!"

That would be Kevin, by the way.

Weigh In: 332

I haven't been able to break the 330 barrier after almost a week of sniffing it, and I can't lie when I say it's been frustrating. But the line above keeps ringing in my ear. A few of us have been struggling with the number on the scale lately, but we keep fighting it. That's the only choice we've got, and I feel like the fight is being taken to us lately.

But you don't reach your goals by giving up, and it's not even something I'm considering. Most of the day is spent thinking about my next workout, or next athletic activity, so that beats the pants off of my former habit of wondering when and what the next meal is going to be.

Here's an added bonus today - I talked to Josh yesterday, and he asked me when I was going to be in for my next workout. I told him that I had a cardio day today, so he told me that he'd meet me at the gym and show me a few things. I figured that I'd come in, do my workout, and then he's give me a few tips and hints, and maybe a few new workout methods to try.

He essentially gave me an entire workout, and made me do it. I hurt like hell during, and it was only a cardio thing. Jumping rope and boxing. And, I can't even lie.

I LOVED it.

If you've learned one thing from reading this blog since November, it's that I love a challenge. Different boxing techniques.. it gives you a new perspective on HOW HARD 15 rounds in the ring must be. It's complete stamina awareness.

So, I'm still 332. It's frustrating.

But at least it's not 350, or 378, right?

By the way, volleyball tonight, so I get some more activity, and then back in the gym for the HARD workout tomorrow again.

Keep fighting the fight, folks. We're on the road to health.

I have to say, I love the enthusiasm on your part. This short stop at 332 is toast if you can keep the intensity there without the trainer. I cant wait to get into the gym (should have the keys for Thursday morning) and start getting into shape too.

That goal - be it 330 or 200 - always seems to just dangle there. Kevin showed me my numbers today and it took me almost THREE WEEKS to get from 203 to under 200! It was frustrating as hell, but I hit it. And so will you. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll break through that wall.

Keep up the great work, Rob.

As long as we keep up the fight, we will hit our goals :)

I know it has to be frustrating to work so hard and not see that number on the scale move much at all lately - but IT WILL HAPPEN. I'm glad to hear you're so determined and not giving up - you've come a long way already.

Keep up the great work!
